With this update, your clients can now approve estimates directly from the shared quote link, providing instant confirmation and eliminating unnecessary delays. Here’s a breakdown of how it works and why it’s a game-changer for your business.
How It Works: Getting Approval on Your Estimates
1. Create and Share Your Estimate
As always, you start by creating an estimate in Simple Estimate. Once it’s ready, simply click Share and generate a quote link.
2. Enable Client Approval
When sharing the estimate, you’ll now see a new option: Enable Client Approval. Selecting this adds an “Approve Estimate” button to the quote. If you want, you can also receive an email notification when a client approves the estimate.
3. Client Approves the Estimate
When your client views the estimate, they can now:
- Click the Approve button
- Enter their name, email, and an optional comment (e.g., “Thank you! Can we start next week?”)
- Submit their approval
4. Instant Confirmation & Notifications
Once approved, here’s what happens automatically:
- The approval is logged in the estimate history, including the approver’s name, email, and timestamp.
- The estimate status updates to Approved, visible to anyone accessing the quote.
- The creator of the estimate receives an email notification with all approval details.
