Why would I do two or three point estimation?

It's really up to you and how you like to think through a project. A single hourly estimate per task is easiest, but sometimes it's nice to think in ranges. Two point estimation lets you put in a high and a low hourly estimate and we find the average for you. Three point estimation lets you put in low, "most likely" and high numbers and then uses a mathematical formula to balance them out.

Can it export to my favorite project management tool?

Not yet, we are actively working on Simplestimate and would love to know what tools or services you want to use it in combination with. Feel free to contact us and let us know.

Why does simplestimate require an ongoing fee rather than a one-time purchase?

A monthly ongoing fee is preferable for several reasons: First off, you don't have to worry about backups at all. All of your data is safely backed up and will be just fine if your computer crashes. Second, simplestimate is designed to be used with companies that may have multiple people logging in and creating, editing, and viewing estimates. This way you don't have to worry about handing off files, you can send out a link and be sure that everyone is viewing the most up to date information. Ongoing fee's also allow us to continue to improve the software and add new features to it over time.

Can I pay with PayPal?

Not currently through our website. If there is a reason you must use Paypal, please contact us and we can send an invoice with PayPal.
